Pain Resource Nurse (PRN)
A Pain Resource Nurse is a registered nurse who functions as both a resource and change agent in disseminating information, interfacing with nurses, physicians, other health care providers, and patients and families to facilitate quality pain management. The RN must attend a PRN training program to become a PRN.

Maintaing PRN Priviledge: - attend PRN quarterly meetings through the Wisconsin Chapter of ASPMN (February, May, August, November)
- an active member of your institution's pain team

Registration for the current PRN training program for April 15 and 29, 2009 is closed. We would anticipate having another training program next year. Please contact Nancy Whitfield at nwhitfie@stmgb.org for more information.
